The leaders’ agreements

Cameron

  1. Strong commitment to meet with Citizens UK annually and come to at least two Citizens UK assemblies through the course of the term.
  2. Strong support for the Living Wage, praised Boris Johnson. Agreed to work with Citizens UK to look at the figures for Living Wage implementation across Whitehall.
  3. Confirmed commitment to cap on credit for store cards and committed to work with Citizens UK to look at placing controls on other lending products. Big Society bank can be used to stimulate local affordable credit provision for example through credit unions.
  4. Agreed to review child detention through a working party including Citizens UK.
  5. Strong commitment on provision of affordable housing through Community Land Trusts, including specific reference to the land on the Olympic Park.
  6. No agreement on regularisation.

Clegg

  1. Strong commitment to meet with Citizens UK annually and come to at least two Citizens UK assemblies through the course of the term.
  2. No agreement on Living Wage.
  3. Confirmed commitment to as yet unspecified interest rate cap.
  4. Strong commitment to end child detention.
  5. Support for Community Land Trusts.
  6. Strong commitment to regularisation for undocumented migrants in the country for more 10 years or more.

Brown

  1. Strong commitment to meet with Citizens UK annually and come to at least two Citizens UK assemblies through the course of the term.
  2. Strong commitment to implement Living wage in Whitehall and to champion it across the country.
  3. Commitment to clamp down on exploitative lending and work with Citizens UK to explore an interest rate cap. Commitment to £200m funding to People’s Bank to provide local affordable credit.
  4. Agreed to review child detention through a working party including Citizens UK.
  5. Strong support for Community Land Trusts and will make land available.
  6. No agreement on regularisation.
